There are things you need to know; while there is a climate control panel in the room, it doesn’t work. We arrived, the room was an austere 65 degrees, we had to beg reception to get it up to 70 — it was a cold day. Reception is a separate building, its entrance is indicated by a sign with arrows pointing in two opposing directions. To turn off the bedside lights in room 21 you have to unscrew the bulbs. The important looking electrical outlets by the bed don’t work. The main light switch must be on to light the lamps, charge your devices, make your coffee, etc. You can turn off the lamps at night by finding the appropriate buttons near the bottom.

The rooms in the property were gorgeous. I loved the history of the end and all of the special touches in the room. The amenities such as sheets, towels and toiletries were nice!

We LOVED staying at the Oakhurst Inn. The staff, the food and drinks, the entire place… just perfect! Pool area is cozy and peaceful, perfect water temperature… staff incredibly friendly, polite and proactive. Couldn’t recommend it more!

They were very kind, they welcomed us with a greeting card for our 10th wedding anniversary and gave us two drinks. The attention is very good, open to give you recommendations and help you make your stay special. We loved celebrating our anniversary there. Super recommended!

Great time at the cafe, the bed and couch was very comfortable, and the rooms were so quaint! The staff was very friendly, and helped me and my family feel at home.

I appreciated the quiet, clean room. I was able to work and slept soundly. I would like to return for a weekend when the students are not in session to explore Charlottesville with my husband.

Everything was wonderful the only thing that confused me were the prices. The food, the staff, basically everything with one exception, I paid approximately $400 a night and yet on their website there were specials I qualified for, and when I searched for prices many were a lot less. More transparency would be nice and if you’re offering discounts, somebody should communicate that to you when you check in.
